Property of the Week: 88 Pearl Street #2, Cambridge

Posted on February 5, 2011

I love Cambridgeport. I know this blog is called Life in the ‘Ville and I tend to focus on Somerville, but Cambridge – and particularly Cambridgeport – holds a special place in my heart. I love the sweet single-family homes tucked away on side streets and the larger estates overlooking Dana Park or historic Hastings Square. I like the elegant brick buildings along the main thoroughfares and the more modern homes interspersed through the ‘Port. Living in Cambridgeport you’re close to the Red Line T and all that Central Square has to offer. For restaurants alone you have: RendezvousGreen Street GrillCentral Kitchen, and Garden at the Cellar to name a few. Then there’s the newer Flour Bakery and Central Bottle for your chocolate brioche and red wine cravings. But what’s really great about Cambrideport is your proximity to the Charles River, MIT and Boston. (Oh, and let’s not forget the massive Whole Foods and the super-busy Trader Joe’s!)

This week I’ll be hosting an open house in Cambridgeport at 88 Pearl Street #2, Cambridge

88 Pearl Street #2 is a beautiful, completely renovated worker’s cottage with an open-plan living room/dining room, gracious kitchen with granite counters, stainless steel appliances and an island, 2 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, hardwood floors, central air conditioning, landscaped grounds and a stone driveway. The finishes on this home are beautiful – both elegant and modern.

Listed for $487,000

Open House Sunday, February 6th from 12:00 – 1:30 PM
